FESA ACCOUNTABILITY STANDARDS

 

FESA USA, Inc. is a qualified 501 (c) (3) tax- exempt organization with Federal Tax ID # 20-8597267. As a public charity, all the donor's contributions are tax-deductible under the section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.

FESA USA, Inc. follows strict accountability standards in order to comply with local,  state and federal regulations. We follow general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and use the services of an independent certified public accountant to review our accounting procedures.

 

We are willing to disclose, on request, all relevant financial information, including functional allocation of expenses and contributions, and annual budget. We were founded in 2007 and potential donors can find our annual reports for 2007 (here), 2008 (here), 2009 (here), and 2010 (here).

 

FESA USA, Inc depends 100% on receiving substantial contributions from its fundraising activities chaired by our Board of Directors (learn more about us here). Our board exercises adequate and strict control over the costs to maximize the disbursements in supporting our mission (learn more about our mission here). Solicitations and information materials are accurate and do not mislead the public. Our programs and fundraising activities are initiated for the solely purpose of benefiting the youth in El Salvador.

 

We do NOT sell goods. We do NOT provide services. We do NOT sell memberships. We solicit from the public based on state and federal regulations and are registered for that purpose in the states of California, Florida, and Texas.

 

Our Board is actively involved in governing the organization's activities and meets once per month. In order to comply with ethical principles, FESA USA, Inc DOES  NOT directly or indirectly compensates board members nor is engaged with transactions in which board members have conflicting interests. We have an internal conflict of interest policy that any potential donor can review here.

 

FESA USA, inc also promotes pluralism and diversity within the organization's board, staff and constituencies. We maintain an organizational commitment to ethical and honest behavior in our charitable programs and activities.
